PART 3 - PLAN A - Identifying non-compliance
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR PLAN A - Submit an A3 Revit Plan:
• Identify each aspect by number/key and provide corresponding specifications from the National Construction Code, including relevant clauses that need to be addressed.
• Revit drawings located in ‘Learn' Assessment 1 tab
• Ensure drawings are clear, legible and include notes and appropriate scale.
• Drawings are to be submitted as PDF
• Include and reference all relevant legislation/Codes/Standards (including clauses) with relevant compliance requirements for this project.
• Communicate with the client regarding compliance conflicts by showing existing areas of the existing house and site that do not comply (markup drawing)
• Interpreted and apply information gathered throughout the Assessment within the drawing
• Ensure Plan A is submitted with the final assessment document

Q24. The building designer's duty of care is to ensure the quality, and safety of designs. Your job is to conveythe non-compliance issues to the client through the table below and a mark-upof the locations on PLAN A.
In reference to the NCC and the relevant Council Development Plan, analyse and identify non-complying elements for the existing Residence location: 174 Shepherds Hill Road, Bellevue Heights, SA, 5050. Remember to look at the existing building material and structure indicated at the beginning of this assessment.
All items below must be located on PLAN A - You MUST provide notes and references (include page numbers and clause numbers) to the table below and then located them onthe plan

PART 4 - PLAN B - Make changes to the existing residence

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS for PLAN B - Submit an A3 Plan:
• Revit drawings located in ‘Learn' Assessment 1 tab
• Ensure drawings are clear, legible and include notes and appropriate scale.
• Drawings are to be submitted as PDF
• Include and reference all relevant legislation/Codes/Standards (including clauses) with relevant compliance requirements for this project.
• Show your suggestions to the client for the alterations indicated in the Client brief Identify each aspect altered/added by number/key and provide a corresponding detailed specification sheet, including clauses that have been met.
• Ensure Plan B is submitted with the final assessment document

Q25.
In reference to the NCC and the relevant Council Development Plan. Under the direction of your managing architect/building designer, you have been given the job to rectify any non-complying elements as identified in Question 24 for the existing Residence (if possible - remember this is an existing building and cannot be moved) and make changes in regards to the Client Brief.

Client Brief - All client changes must be updated on PLAN B

Your client wishes to renovate their residence as follows:

Q26.The Client would like to expand the kitchen out by approximately 25m2to maximise views and make a serviceable size for a dining area. Refer to the Development Plan to determine boundary restrictions.

Q28. The client would like an enclosed garage or undercover carport closer to the house. Research whether this request is possible in regards to the Development plan -Present a compliant solution to the client.

Q29. Your client is environmentally friendly and is considering incorporating some environmentally sustainable and energy efficiency elements in to their new home.
