Court-Martial

Establishment

Moreover Section 65 (1) of the Constitution empowers Parliament to establish court martial that shall have such jurisdiction and powers as may be conferred through any law. Pursuant to this provision, hence Armed Forces Act, S.85 (1) provides as like 'a court-martial may be convened through the Chief of General Staff or through the Commander'.

However court-martial is not the permanent court although is convened from time to time to try several persons who have committed an offence that below the Section 84 of the Armed Forces Act, is tribal through a court martial.  Therefore the court is dissolved as soon as trial is over.
