A few years ago, Julian inherited the family business, which is dedicated to growing and selling fruits and vegetables in Andalusia, southern Spain. At first, he followed the guidelines with which the company's operations had been directed, but little by little he introduced the sale of eco-friendly fruit and vegetable baskets online in his region. When it gained popularity, he expanded its commerce to all Spain, even making some sporadic shipments of baskets to France and Italy.

The boom that the company has experienced and the demand for its baskets abroad have made Julian decide to launch his business in the international field. However, he does not know how to do it and what aspects he should consider, besides not being very clear which country or countries to start his expansion in. For this purpose, he has come to you for professional advice on different topics related to international trade.

Q1. At the beginning of any internationalization process of a business, it is essential to carry out a self-assessment to determine the competitive advantages of the company. To this end, conduct a self-assessment of Julian's company to detect the favourable and unfavourable aspects, both internally and externally, and name at least two competitive advantages that are guarantees of success.
