Fuel Consumption and Cars
Automobile service clubs offer free maps, trip-interruption protection, payment for some legal fees, and roadside assistance. Independent random samples of roadside service calls were selected for three different clubs. The time required (in minutes) for a tow truck to arrive was recorded for each call. The summary statistics are given in the following table.
a. Use the definitions to find SSA and SSE. Use these two values to find SST.
b. Complete an ANOVA table, and use this information to determine whether there is any evidence to suggest that at least two population mean waiting times are different. Use a = 0.01.
