Assignment Problem: Compile a portfolio of resources in your local area, specifically relating to community inclusion for people with a disability. The folder should contain information about services, programs and facilities that might be useful to people with a range of different disabilities.
Include information relating to:
- service providers
- agencies and government support services
- aid suppliers
- community facilities and activities that might be of benefit to clients
- clubs
- recreation and leisure facilities
- entertainment venues
- transportation options
- innovative ideas or programs
You might collect brochures and pamphlets for the various providers, you could download information from the internet or you could consult with people who work in the various facilities.
Index your portfolio by drawing up a contents page on which the various facilities or services are listed.
Include an introductory page on which the options for and applications of each listed facility or service are summarized.
