Assignment task:

The purpose of this research paper is to explore and compare various research perspectives on leaders and leadership development.

Conduct secondary research on two contrasting leadership approaches or theories. Students should indicate how and when each theory was originated (if possible), describe the central components of each theory, explain how each theory works, discuss the main strengths and criticisms of each theory, and how the principles embedded in each theory might or might not be useful in today's leadership context. Each student should offer their opinion, insights, and/or reflection on the research they have conducted. please use appropriate examples.

Students will present and discuss a brief, 5 minute summary of their paper in class.

The paper is to be about 2 page word, prepared as for a university assignment using AP style referencing. You need to use a minimum of 5 current peer reviewed leadership articles and various high quality professional sources.
