The nation's military engagements abroad have always had an impact at home. Thus, for example, while military spending routinely boosted the nation's economy, wartime anxieties about enemy invasions often resulted in the restriction of civil liberties.
In this essay, compare and contrastthe impacts of World War II and the Vietnam War on the American home front. In your answer, be sure to explain how each conflict affected the nation's economy and society. In addition, be sure to discuss how the American people responded to the nation's participation in World War II and the Vietnam War.
