Problem: Comment on this personally and non professionally in less than 40 words: First off, Brianna sounds like a fun kiddo to hang out with and get to know. After reading the scenario I believe one of her goals should be building her social skills so she can eventually have meaningful interactions with her peers. Some goals for this could be, responding to peers (if she isn't interested she could be prompted to say/vocally approximate "no" or shake her head w/ a model), parallel play w/ cues to look at others around her to build interest in what others might be doing, or really just FCT overall. A PECS board used in conjunction with echoic manding could be provided to promote this communication if her verbal skills are not strong enough currently. The other skill I think that should be worked on is tolerating non-preferred tasks for a duration of 30 secs to 1 minute initially (i.e. sitting at the table, crafts, etc.). NCR should be used throughout the beginning stages of therapy to keep Brianna engaged, motivated, and hopefully keep her maladaptive behaviors to a minimum while she learns these skills.
