Choosing and specifying a product design for the project

Assignment also about the project which is speed trap.

Also before the answer say for example this is ( task 1 )

Most important is the 3 Merits questions and 3 distinctions question.

TASK INTRODUCTION

Learning Outcomes 2 and 3 are centred on your ability to implement the project and evaluate the project outcomes.

Scenario: Following your success at choosing and specifying a product design for the project, you have now been allocated resources to continue with the proposed project

Your mentor/manager has suggested that your next stage should be to use suitable evaluation techniques to generate a design solution, then to implement the design to the agreed PDS and to fully evaluate the final product against the original specifications.
On completion of your design your manager has requested a detailed report

ASSIGNMENT INTRODUCTION

You are required at the completion of this project to write up your project in the form of a comprehensive report.

Your final submitted report will be written in Arial font site 12, line spacing 1.5, presented with a contents page and referenced to Harvard style. Your report will consist of between 5000 to 6000 word counts (appendices will not be counted in this word count).

The guide for this assignment as written below has not been provided as series of tasks, in order that the report submitted follows a natural flow. The final report will need to show evidence that the objectives have been met.

Your report will include evidence of the following:

LO 2.1 Match resources efficiently to the project.

The development of the project has been monitored against the agreed project plan. Opportunities for Merit grading

The report will provide logical argument of the advantages and disadvantages for each of the design methods (solutions) considered before arriving at the final methods chosen. (M1)

Evidence that you have used appropriate techniques to generate acceptable design solutions.(M2)

LO 2.2 Undertake the proposed project in accordance with the agreed specification.

The report will show that the product design specification has been adhered to and will highlight any iterations of the design process where the specification has required change.

LO 2.3 Organise, analyse and interpret relevant outcomes

That at each stage of the project, the progress of the project has been monitored to ensure the project's success to meet the PDS and therefore evidence clear records of data collected during the design/development of the project.

LO 3.1 Use appropriate project evaluation techniques
Report will evidence what methods have been used to evaluate the final projects outcomes against the original PDS

LO 3.2 Interpret and analyse the results in terms of the original project specification
A detailed analysis of the final results of the project with conclusions and recommendations.

The interpretation and analysis of the outcomes from this research, highlighting the overall findings with a discussion of the evidence obtained.

LO 3.3 Make recommendations and justify areas for further consideration
Finally your report will converge the significance of the project with a discussion of limitations and area's for improvement and future consideration.

Opportunities for Merit grading
The report will be written in an informative way for readers not familiar with the technical details of the project design and implementation. (M3)

Opportunities for Distinction grading
The report's conclusions, recommendations and area's of improvement demonstrate you have fully evaluated your own work in all aspects of the project design over the life of the project. (D1)

LO 4.1 Produce a record of all project procedures used.
All relevant documentation of all aspects of the design process will be appended in the report and cited where necessary in the main body of the report.

Opportunities for Distinction grading
The report will show evidence of substantial activities which have been carried out over the time planned for the research. Other evidence from substantial activities and planning will be evident from your project log book submitted and your planning documents. (D2)

Opportunities for Distinction grading
The report shows clear evidence that project planning techniques have been studied and used effectively. (D3)
