Changing my desktop background with python

Problem: Respond and further the discussion in easy to understand/ language

Changing my desktop background with Python honestly was very difficult when I first started, and it did take some trial and error. I initially thought it would just be one simple command, but I realized I had to understand how Python communicates with the operating system. I was pretty stumped and down on myself until I found multiple YouTube videos that helped walk me through the Process along with the book's guidance. Since I was working on Microsoft Windows, I researched some ways on how to use the ctypes library to access system level functions. Once I figured out how to structure the code correctly and define the red, green and blue values, it worked exactly how I wanted. After quite a few times running the script and failing, I finally succeeded. Seeing my background change automatically after running the script so many times made the process feel worth it.

What I learned from this is that automation is really just breaking down a task into clear, logical steps while using outside resources for aid. I also learned how Python can be integrated easily even with basic knowledge. It ultimately helped me better understand how scripts interact with the operating system instead of just printing something to the screen.

There are a lot of other simple tasks that could be automated. For example, automatically organizing files in folders, renaming multiple files at once, clearing old files, or even scheduling daily reminders. Basic system settings, like adjusting volume or launching apps could also be automated, Ultimately, this assignment showed me that even simple coding skills can save time and make everyday tasks easier.
