Calculate the averages for pre-course and post-course surveys

1. Open the excel file with your survey results for pre-course and post-course surveys. You will only find four questions. You need to analyze these four questions.

2. Create a column named Average.

3. Click a cell to the right of the numbers for which you want to find the average. In this example, the cell is clicked on is G2.

4. The range C2:F2 in this example contains the results of pre-course survey result, typing in =AVERAGE(C2:F2) returns the average of these numbers.

5. Repeat the above steps for post-course result.

6. Ctrl-click on Surveys and Average to select these columns.

7. In menu bar, click on INSERT button, Click on the arrow next to the type of chart you would like to make. If you want a traditional bar graph, you will choose "Bar." If you want a vertical graph, click the arrow next to "Column."

8. Save the file.
