Calculate the amount of work the local gravitational force

A block of mass m = 4.00kg initially traveling downward on an inclinded frictionless plane at a velocity of Vo= 2.00 m/s slides a distance d = 2.00 m. The plane is inclinded at an angle of 40 degrees with respect to the horizontal. The mass then encounters a horizontal friction surface over which it moves and eventually comes to a complete stop. Coefficient of kinetic friction μk=0.10, and static friction μs=0.12.

A) Draw a properly labeled sketch of the problem.

B) Calculate the amount of work the local gravitational force does on the mass over the total distance.

C) Calculate the thermal energy dissipated as heat over the total distance.

D) Calculate the horizontal distance the block slides before coming to rest.
