Task
The CCNA skills assessment will be run in the CSU Network Engineering Lab during the last week of the session. You will perform the skills assessment on the networking equipment available. A lab instructor will supervise the skills assessment. This assessment is a closed book and time limited assessment task. However, students will be allowed to use hand written journals only. Students MUST be able to PING from one PC to another as stated on the exam script.
Rationale
The CCNA Routing and Switching - Introduction to Networks skill assessment will test your practical capabilities in:
• Build a simple Ethernet network using routers and switches.
• Use Cisco command-line interface (CLI) commands to perform basic router and switch configurations.
• Utilize common network utilities to verify small network operations and analyze data traffic.
• Detect, troubleshoot and correct all the network implementation issues independently and successfully.
