Problem:
Reply to peer, tell me ONE thing you know about assessment. What it's meant to do, and the best way that teachers can go about assessing his/her students - 114 - Step 1 When it comes to assessments, there are many factors you should be looking out for when administering these. Some things that could be included, but are not limited to, are validity, which focuses on whether the student has truly mastered the objectives of the test. Along with being aware that the assessment doesn't have any biases that could affect the validity of the exam. Another thing that could be included is rigor alignment. Are the goals of assessment rigorous and aligned with the standards that the students must be learning? Does the assessment focus on meaningful understanding rather than superficial knowledge? (Farr, S., & Kamras, J., 2010) The purpose of Assessments in my opinion, is to see where students are and if they are not at the standard to help them get there. The best way teachers can go about assessing their students is by making sure the assessment is valid, it is free of biases, and it is aligned with state standards. Need Assignment Help?
