I do believe that the benefits of health and wellness programs outweigh the controversy because those are important to have because if you cannot get them through your employer, it is very expensive to pay out of pocket for those benefits. Health insurance is something everyone needs because paying out of pocket at the doctor or hospital is very pricey depending on what needs to happen. Companies should not try and risk anything because the employees deserve to have those benefits provided to them. Good thing we have the Affordable Care Act because it makes sure employers are not charging us extra money when it comes to our insurance plans. What are some ways that you might implement some of these programs on a "more even playing field?" For it to be an even playing field, they should base people's illnesses or disabilities off of how much they need to pay for insurance because it is not fair to others. They could also get state insurance for that reason, which would allow everything to be covered for their health, but when it comes to employers, they should not be basing anyone's insurance off anything.
