You are trying to recrystallize 5.0 g of Benzoic acid from 80 mL of water. The solubility of benzoic acid in water is 0.680 g/10 mL at 100 degree Celsius and 0.029 g/10 mL at 20 degree Celsius.

Solution to 1st Question - Too much water added initially. The minimum volume of boiling water needed to dissolve 5.0 g of Benzoic acid = 74 mL @100 C boiling water)

How much of the Benzoic acid will crystallize after cooling to 20 degrees C?

Any help on this problem would be appreciated! Not quite sure how to to use the solubility values in this problem. How can we determine the how many grams will crystallize?
