FALL SEMESTER PROJECT
Your project is to find an interesting recent problem, issue, situation, or event that affects the property-casualty insurance industry. This must be an issue, problem or event, other than what is included in your text or is part of other assignments you have been given in class. The project will require you to do three things.
1. Summarize the issue or problem that affects the property-casualty insurance industry and explain why this is an important issue or problem.
2. Analyze the issue or problem. What are the dilemmas, what are the effects, what are the moral and ethical, business or regulatory issues that are associated with this issue or problem?
3. If you were in a leadership position what alternative solutions do you see and which solution or direction would you steer the industry to address and perhaps even overcome this issue. (Leadership position depends upon the problem or issue. For example a leader may need to be a regulator, an insurance company president, an agency owner or even a large insurance consumer.)
Your project must be at least 2 pages double spaced with APA cited references.
