Problem: Health Science
I. Using the World Health Statistics from 2012, how could we analyze Italy's health trends based on the information provided? Focusing on specific data and information, as well as the relevance to the country context? Why the statistics that we chose to analyze are adequate indicators of health, health care, or the needs of Italy in the health sector?
II. We are the administrator of a small network of clinics and integrated health centers. The Board of Directors has noticed that the costs have been growing, while the number of patients has stayed relatively the same. The reason for this is undefined and is very costly to the network.
We are tasked with developing an over-arching information system that will provide insights as to the (i) Health Status of our patient group (ii) Current Services provided (iii) Gaps or needs in services provided and (iv) Potential Strategies to reduce costs.
