We examined the non-APRN MSN prepared roles (nurse educator, nurse informaticist, nurse administrator/executive, and clinical nurse leader). In this discussion, select two of the non-APRN MSN-prepared roles and consider a recurrent clinical problem or nursing issue you have encountered in your current practice. Apply your knowledge of the MSN roles covered this week and address the following:
a) Describe the clinical problem and analyze how both roles would approach the problem.
b) How do the historical aspects, scope of practice and focus of the role influence how the clinical problem is addressed?
