So with that in mind, I'd like you to peal back the layers and analyze these models a little bit deeper. Conceptually we understand the CCM vs. DPM , but lets now apply the concept to the mechanics of the system.
Assignment: Analyze the ideas behind the CCM vs. DPM as they apply to our system of criminal justice. They are contradictory in their essence because one looks to punish wrongdoing swiftly and memorably (deterrent/individual responsibility); while the other makes every effort to keep people out of the criminal legal system even when criminality is presumed (rehabilitation/social responsibility).
