Youtube Video Analysis:
You will analyze a Youtube video (or other online clip) using your sociological knowledge. This can be a news clip, movie clip, TV show clip, commercial, music video, a cat video, ANYTHING you want. This MUST be appropriate – NO porn or excessive swearing – think PG-13.

Analysis: this MUST be 1/2 page (single spaced) using at least ONE sociological concept from the semester. (textbook: Witt, Jon. SOC 2013. McGraw Hill, ISBN 978-0-07-802674-4) For example, if your clip focuses on race you can use concepts such as discrimination, prejudice, racial profiling, exploitation theory, affirmative action, social distance scale, etc.
*Example of socialogical concept: Lower income communities that also experience gang cultures may see higher rates of crime as a result of cultural transmission (pg 144) of criminal behavior. If there are high numbers of single parent homes, or low income homes in which both parents must work full time, children may be more susceptible to participating in gang culture and criminal behavior because the functional roles of the family, a major social institution (pg 113), are being strained.
