ADIA is a government-owned investment organization that administers the sovereign wealth fund for Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As per the Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute's rankings, the ADIA sovereign wealth fund graded as the highest in the world in 2010. It is one of the world's biggest institutional investors as well.
The enormous amount of wealth administered by the ADIA is sourced mainly from Abu Dhabi's large oil reserves. The ADIA prefers to stay secretive, so not a great deal is known about its investment method or portfolio of holdings.
