Problem:
Healthy People 2030 is a national framework whose purpose is to enhance the well-being of people through establishing measurable objectives and addressing the underlying social factors that affect their health status. Its assessment uses nationally gathered information about population health problems, including diseases, access to health services, and health disparities, among others. Healthy People 2030 focuses on preventive medicine, promotion of well-being, and intervention strategies to achieve health equity (Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, 2020). From what I observe within my community, the principles behind Healthy People 2030 are being applied in different ways. There are numerous vaccination campaigns, maternal and child health services, and screening programs targeting high-risk populations. They all aim to facilitate access to healthcare and ensure improved patient health, while reflecting the principles of healthy people 2030. There are a variety of public health services that are provided in my community, such as health department services in the county, immunization services, WIC services, and mental health services. Furthermore, community agencies provide educational services, nutrition services, and substance abuse services. These services are vital for preventing and intervening early in certain conditions and diseases to prevent their negative consequences on the community's health.
