A company makes a multi-grain snack using 3 different grain types. Once the company purchases 3 grain types, first, the grains are mixed and milled to make dough. Grain type A contains 6% fat, 3% cholesterol, and 4% carbohydrate. Grain type B contains 3% fat, 6% cholesterol, and 3% carbohydrate. Grain type C contains 2% fat, 2% cholesterol, and 1% carbohydrate.

The costs per pound for grain type A, B and C are $5.99, $6.99. and $7.99, respectively.

For healthy and tasty, the company requires the followings:

(1) the fat content must be at least 2% and at most 5%,

(2) the cholesterol content must be less than or equal to 3%, and

(3) the carbohydrate content must be between 3% and 7%.

2. a) Please formulate as LP model to determine the optimum mix of the grains that should be used in producing 700 pounds of flour.
