To create an ER diagram, the following steps should be followed:

  • Repeat all the above steps till data modelling is complete.

  • Whether to use an attribute or entity set as the representation of objects.
  • Whether to use ternary relationship or binary.
  • Whether to use strong or weak entity set.
  • Whether to use generalization or hierarchy relationship to contribute to modularity ,and
  • Whether using aggregation is appropriate.
