Pulsator Technique:
This is the most common type of the technique that employed in semi-automatic type washing machine, as displayed in the below diagram. Pulsator is a disc, concave in shape that employed for rotate the cloths in water. Dirt is eliminated from the cloth ruby against tub wall surfaces and the disc.

Agitators wash technique:
An agitator that is long and cylindrical in shape is fitted at the centre of the washing tub as displayed in the below diagram. The water and clothes go around the agitator, thus going through a thorough cleaning process. Not appropriate for delicate fabric. This method is employed in Top loading washing machine.

Tumbler washing tub technique:
In Front loading type washing machine this technique is employed. In this type, washing is performed through tumbling the clothes with the help of a simple cylindrical drum displayed in the below diagram. Here the construction is easy and clothes are tumbled around the drum through virtue of the drum itself being rotated by means of a pulley at the rear or the friction drive of the idlers.
