PRINCIPLE:

A CT scanner is a unique type of x-ray machine. In place of sending a single beam of x-ray by the body as with ordinary x-rays, various beams are sent at the same time from dissimilar angles.

THEORY AND WORKING:

The CT scanner was initially planned to take images of the brain. Currently it is much more advanced and is employed for capturing pictures of virtually any part of the body. If the patient is receiving an abdomen scan, for example they will be told not to eat for six hours before the test.
