Introduction to Block Diagram of a TV Receiver Antenna
Yagi antenna is employed for receiving television signals. It receives all the signals involving noise, and feed to TV receivers.
RF TUNERS
Rf tuners contains RF amplifiers, high pass filter, mixer local oscillator, and trap circuits. It picks the wanted channel (VHF or UHF) and converts it into constant I.F. IF Signal consists video IF. 3 signals (38.9MHz) land sound IF signal (33.4MHz).
COMMON IF AMPLIFIER
Common IF amplifier stage filters noise and amplifiers the two IF signa
VIDEO DETECTOR
Video detector filters the carrier signal and divides the composite video signal. Video amplifier it consist a device amplifier and an o/p amplifier. Video detector amplifies the composite video signal to a great extent to fed 80V (p-p) level to the cathode of the picture tube.
PICTURE TUBE
In picture tube, video signal is converted into electron beam first and after that line by line pictures using deflection stage.
AUTOMATIC GAIN CONTROL (AGC)
Automatic gain control (AGC) controls gain of RF and IF stages to deliver approximately constant signal gain to receiver, in spite of changes in the signal gain from TV station.
SYNCHRONIZING PULSE SEPARATOR
Synchronizing pulse separator divides the synchronizing pulses from the composite video signal
DIFFERENTIATOR
Differentiator divides horizontal synchronizing pulses from the synchronize pulses. Differentiator is a high pass filter circuit.
AUTOMATIC FREQUENCY CONTROL (AFC)
From LOT the Fly back pulses and horizontal synchronizing pulses are compared here to deliver the variation of the above as dc control voltage to horizontal oscillator. Therefore horizontal synchronize loss because of noise is eliminated.
HORIZONTAL OSCILLATOR
The aim of using this stage is to generate 15,265Hz horizontal frequency to allow horizontal scanning.
HORIZONTAL DRIVER AND OUTPUT AMPLIFIER
Horizontal frequency is amplified through these two amplifiers to a large extent and feed to horizontal deflection coils. These coils achieve electromagnetic and from the picture tube deflect the electrons beam into scanning lines. Pictures are regenerated through the scanning lines.
HORIZONTAL O/P TRANSFORMER
Additional High Tension voltage 18000 Volts AC is generated hers and is converted into de and then delivered to the final anode of the picture tube.
INTEGRATOR
Vertical type pulses are removed from Synchronizing pulses. For this it is planned as a low pass filters. These pulses are delivered to vertical oscillator to prevent vertical Synchronize lose.
VERTICAL OSCILLATOR
The aim of using this stage is to generate 50Hz vertical frequency to allow vertical scanning
VERTICAL DRIVES AND OUTPUT AMPLIFIERS
Vertical frequency is amplified and delivered to the vertical deflection coils. These coils achieve electromagnet and generate frames.
