Vernalization
The word ‘vernalization’ was first introduced through a Russian scientist T.D. Lysenko in the year 1920. Several species, particularly biennials and perennials are made to flower at low temperature range of 1oC to 10oC. This is termed as vernalization.
The response to the cold temperature stimulus is not consistent in each plant. Plants that are vernalized, are known as inductive types. Those nonvernalized are known as noninductive types.Techniques of vernalization:

Devernalization:
