The hearing aid is an electronic battery device which amplifies and change sound to permit for enhanced communication.

Hearing aid receives sound via a tiny microphone which then transforms the sound waves to electrical signal.  The amplifier raises the loudness of signals and then sends the sound to the ear via a speaker in an earpiece that fits into an outer ear canal. The electrical signals are transformed back to the sound waves.
