Proteins which constitute the sarcomere
Describe the main proteins which constitute the sarcomere? Describe the function of such molecules in the muscle cells?
Expert
In sarcomere, there are organized myosin and actin blocks. Tropomyosin and Troponin as well appear related to actin.
The actin molecules whenever activated by calcium ions released in the proximities of the sarcomere are pulled by the myosin molecules. This interaction among myosin and actin shortens the myofibrils originating the phenomenon of the muscle contraction.
