The chain concept is the theoretical model to study out the energy transformations in ecosystems. In actually, in the ecosystem the organisms are part and divisions of several inter closed food chains, forming the food web.
Thus, the chain is a theoretical linear series and the web is a more sensible representation of nature in that the food chains interconnect forming the web.
Repeated external stimulus is more attention -attracting than a single time. Repetition increases our sensitivity and alertness to the stimulus. Thus, greater the frequency with which a sensory stimulus is presented, the greater the chances we select it for attention.
