Process theories assist to elucidate how individuals choose specific behaviors and how individuals find out if such behaviors meet their requirements. Since such theories comprise rational selection, perceptions of cognition are used. Cognition according to Petri (in the year 1996) is usually used to explain such intellectual or perceptual processes taking place within us whenever we analyze and interpret both the world around us and our own opinions and actions.
