A characteristic fermentation procedure due to oxygen shortage takes place in muscle tissue. Under the intense employ muscles demand too much energy (or ATP) and acquire much more oxygen to make that energy. High consumption leads to the oxygen shortage and the muscle cells start on to make lactic fermentation trying to convince their energetic needs. In this condition muscle pain, fatigue and cramps are because of the lactic acid librated by fermentation.
