A characteristic fermentation procedure due to oxygen shortage takes place in muscle tissue. High consumption leads to the oxygen shortage and the muscle cells start on to make lactic fermentation trying to convince their energetic needs. In this condition muscle pain, fatigue and cramps are because of the lactic acid librated by fermentation.
