The cerebrum is divided in two cerebral hemispheres, right and left. Each hemisphere is made of the four cerebral lobes: parietal lobe, frontal lobe, occipital lobe and temporal lobe.

Each cerebral lobe haves gray matter and white matter. The gray matter is outer portion and it is made of the neuron bodies; gray matter is also named as cerebral cortex.

The white matter is inner portion and it is white since it is in the area where axons of cortical neurons pass.
