Goiter is the abnormal growth of thyroid gland. The goiter emerges as a tumor in anterior neck and it might be visible or sometimes not visible however palpable. Goiter can take place in hypothyroidism or in hyperthyroidism. Endemic goiter is the goiter caused by the deficient iodine ingestion (that is, deficiency of iodine in diet).
