Are arteries carry blood containing venous or arterial blood

Are arteries carry blood from the heart to lungs containing venous or arterial blood? What occurs to the blood whenever it passes via the lungs?

Arteries of the pulmonary circulation are arteries which carry venous blood and not arterial blood. Whenever the blood passes in the alveolar capillaries of the lungs hematosis (or oxygenation) takes place and carbon-dioxide is discharged to the exterior.
