Gynoecium refers to the set of female reproductive structures of the flowers. It usually is composed of the single pistil which consists of the stigma, the style and the ovary.Androecium refers to the set of male reproductive structures of the flowers. It realizes the stamens formed of the filament and anther; one flower has one androecium which may have one or various stamens. The androecium generally surrounds the central gynoecium. Besides, the androecium and the gynoecium typical flowers are also made up of the peduncle, petals and sepals.
