Why do we dissolve the pellet in the buffer of this


After yeast invertase was extracted via autolysis using toluene, centrifuged and underwent heat treatment then to be precipitated by ethanol and centrifuged once again, a pellet was obtained (containing invertase). The pellet is dissolved in Tris buffer of pH 7.3 to run through an anion exchange column with Tris buffer containing different concentrations of NaCL (pH 7.3). 

Why do we dissolve the pellet in the buffer of this particular pH? ( A detailed answer please, as i need to explain this in my lab report)
