1. Under what circumstances is it appropriate to act on your initial short-term attraction toward another person? Under what circumstances is it inappropriate?Which source of attraction is probably the most important for sustaining a long-term relationship? Why? Which is least important? Why?
2. Ethics: If two people have agreed to maintain a relationship below the highest level in the model of relational stages (the intimacy stage), is it ethical for one of the people to nonetheless continually try to move the relationship to the intimacy stage?
3. Ethics: To what degree can an individual pursue changing a relationship of circumstance into a relationship of choice if the other person rejects the initial attempt to change the relationship? What options does the person who rejects the continued attempts to change the relationship have?
4. Is it right to intentionally increase the cost and reduce the rewards for a relational partner as a strategy to end the relationship?
