The student may find the data collected for the economics analysis guideline are more straightforward than for the cultural analysis guideline. There are two broad categories of information in this guideline: general economic data that serve as a basis for an evaluation of the economic soundness of a country, and information on channels of distribution and media availability. As mentioned earlier, the guideline focuses only on broad categories of data and must be adapted to the particular company and its product needs. An analysis of the dimensions of a national culture provides a window through which a company can view the relevance of that culture to buyer behavior. Once a company has a working knowledge of what culture is and has an appreciation of why it is important in the marketing process, it must create and implement a model for analyzing a culture at the national level.

The objective at this point is to develop an understanding of and appreciation for a culture's shared values. All papers must be at least 50% in the students' own words. Lengthly citations from other sources should be noted as such in the body of the paper. The information yielded by this analysis will be beneficial in the following ways:

(1) It will help the company develop sensitivity toward the culture.
(2) It will provide a profile of the potential buyers.
(3) It will provide the data necessary to take the next step in the analysis of the influence that culture has on buyer behavior.

This three-part project will span the course length. It is a cultural and marketing plan project. The countries will be selected n class. The assignment is in three sections:

(1) Cultural Analysis
(2) Economic Analysis. This is the part of paper we are currently working on.
(3) Product Introduction (Opportunity Planning Process).

In part three the student will choose a product / service that is not currently found in the targeted country and devise a cultural analysis and marketing plan for the chosen country.

For example, students may choose to market an automobile from the United States into a foreign country or can choose to market an automobile into the US that is not currently available here.
