Discussion Post: Lobbying and Advocacy
Based on what you have read describe the difference between lobbying and advocacy. Discuss an issue that you strongly believe should be advocated for in your field or by your discipline or community.
a) What data or evidence would you provide to your Congressperson, Senator or Community representative if you were going to lobby or advocate on behalf of that issue?
b) Analyze the role a human service provider plays in influencing policy decisions on a Federal, State and/or local level.
The response should include a reference list. Using one-inch margins, Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space and APA style of writing and citations.
