ACCTFIN 7025-Accounting Essentials for Decision Makers (M) Individual Assignment Information: You are requested to undertake a financial ratio analysis and interpretation covering aminimum of three years of a company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. This analysis should address all 17 ratios identified and explained in the Topic 2 presentation of the course. This is not to say you must calculate every ratio as it may not be possible, however, you must provide reasons for the inclusion/exclusion of any of the 17 ratios. If necessary, provide correctly notated charts to improve the communication aspects of your submission.

You must write and evaluation and interpretation of the ratios. As guidance, this evaluation should not exceed 750 words and encompass all of the important aspects of the business. Comment in particular on the profitability, efficiency, liquidity, leverage and investment aspects of the business. It is important that clear comprehension be provided providing information about the inter-connectedness of the individual ratios.

Therefore, as part of your submission you must provide:a) reasons for the inclusion or exclusion of any of the ratiosb) any assumptions you employ in determining the result forthe ratioc)all calculations (including any Excel spreadsheet you use)d)a discussion and interpretation of the results obtained.

Marks will be allocated on the following basis: Accuracy of calculations 25% Appropriateness and quality of interpretation 40% Quality of reasoning for assumptions employed 25% Presentation, grammar, referencing 10% Please note: Appropriateness and quality of discussion and interpretation(40%) will require both a discussion of any trend analysis undertaken and integration of the ratios, because, as discussed in class, individual ratios impact on others and no ratio should be viewed independently without recognition of this situation.
