This theory advocates that leadership is strongly affected by the situation from the leader emerges and in which he works. it is based on the assumption that there exists as interaction between a group and its leader and that people tends to follow the person who is capable for fulfill . thus leader is means of achieve the goals of the groups and the member . he recognize the needs of situation and then act accordingly .

The focus in the situation approach a leader is on observer behaviors and not on any inborn and acquired activity for leadership. In other words the emphasis is on the behaviors of leaders and their followers and the type opf the situation .leadership process is thus a function of the leader, the followers and the situation. It can best be explain in the term of the interaction between the leader those being the led and natures of situation in which they operate. In other word a person become a leader not only because of his personal attributes but also because of the various situation factors and the interaction between the leader and the group's members we will exile the some of the most popular situation theory that attempt the fulfill the goals
