In the arch reflex, first a sensory neuron situated in the ganglion of a dorsal spinal root gathers the stimulus information from the tissues. This sensory neuron forms direct or indirect (via interneurons) connection with the inferior motor neurons of the spinal cord. Such motor neurons then command the reflex reaction. Therefore sensory neurons, interneurons and inferior motor neurons contribute in the arch reflex.
