Explain Export

Export: In personal computer application, to export is to convert a file into the other format than the one it is at present in. Once the file is exported to the preferred format (that is, specified in its file name suffix), it can be opened and worked on by an application which identifies and uses this format. Adobe Photoshop and other programs employ this term. The other applications like Word let you export a file by just specifying the suitable file name suffix whenever you employ the "Save as" selection.

A file which has not been exported to a desired file format can be imported by the application program and then opened and utilized.
