Expert
Ganglia (that is, singular ganglion), or neural ganglia, are structures positioned outside the central nervous system (for illustration, beside the spinal column or close to viscera) made up of concentration of neuron bodies.
Illustrations of neural ganglia are the ganglia which concentrate cell bodies of sensory neurons in the dorsal roots of spinal cord and the ganglia of the myenteric plexus accountable for the peristaltic movements of digestive tube.
In central nervous system (or CNS) the concentrations of neuron bodies are termed as nuclei and not ganglia.
