Please write a two or three-page long essay (double spaced) on one of the following movies. Do NOT summarize the movie (I have already watched all of them). Focus on some key sociological concepts we have discussed in class and use them to analyze the movie.
I am not interested in whether you like or dislike the movie. The purpose of the assignment is for you to show that you can use your sociological imagination in analyzing the movie.

The Birdcage (1996) Longtime lovers Armand and Albert own a Miami drag club, but when Armand's son announces his intent to marry the daughter of a stuffy U.S. senator, the gay couple feels compelled to pass themselves off as a "normal" family in this wild farce.
Kramer vs Kramer (1979) A just divorced man must learn to care for his son on his own, and then must fight in court to keep custody of him.
Boyhood (2014) The joys and pitfalls of growing up are seen through the eyes of a child named Mason (Ellar Coltrane), his parents (Patricia Arquette, Ethan Hawke) and his sister (Lorelei Linklater). Vignettes, filmed with the same cast over the course of 12 years, capture family meals, road trips, birthday parties, graduations and other important milestones.
