1. Write a formal report in a formal that will be given to them:

The report with PP presentation should be submitted before 4 PM the Friday of week 10, 23th of November.

Requirements:

Choose an organisation: a business, an academic institution or a government

Based on the choice of organisation you have made, you should prepare a well researched report on "ICT in an Organisation (Using a case study)".

Your work should comprise on report detailing your research (the report, excluding appendices if required, must be minimum of 1,500 words and a maximum 1,600 words). This report should consider the case study in great detail, analysing the use, impact, advantages and disadvantages, etc. of  ICT on the chosen organisation.

Structure/content of the report:

The following structure for the report and marking scheme is suggested:

Introduction:

  • Background of the organisation that you have chosen;
  • Products, services of the organisation.
  • Rationale /motivation for the introduction and use of ICT in the chosen organisation:

Identify what ICT system/s the organisation chose to use and implement..

The reasons behind the choice and use of the selected ICT system/s.  

      ICT development:

  • Evidence of research and critical analysis of the current ICT systems, if any, and the design and Implementation of the new proposed ICT systems.
    • Addressing reasons behind/ problems encountered by the organisation that made them take the decision to implement the new ICT system/s.
  • Critical evaluation of the benefits and problems and/or limitations of the new ICT system/s.

Conclusion

  • How did the implementation of the new ICT system/s support the Business Goals and what Business Value did this implementation add to the organisation?
  • Recommendations for further development to the ICT system/s to address all the problems and limitations identified in the previous section.

Structure:

  • Presentation of the report: Structure, content page, sections/sub-sections, word count, etc.
  • Tables, figures, charts, graphs, etc.
  • References/Bibliography (must use Harvard Referencing Style) and correct citations.
  • As a hint, 7-10 references per 100 words indicate a well researched piece

A PP presentation [at least 20 slides presenting your research]:

  • A well structured set of slides,
  • Layout of the presentation: Effective use of PowerPoint, including the use of graphics, builds and transitions, and content of te presentation & a comprehensive bibliography.
