Your team has been asked to develop the corporate network

Assignment

Your team has been asked to develop the corporate network of a company that may belong to one of the sectors listed below. Each company has a headquarter (200 people) and branch offices (50-100 people) in different cities in different countries as listed below:

1. Healthcare Clinics (especially telemedicine and mobile health clinics) with headquarters in the US (say San Francisco) but serving the far east (Burma, Vietnam, and Cambodia).

2. Retail stores chain with headquarters in Italy and branch offices in Nairobi (Nigeria), Katmandu (Nepal) and Dunedin (New Zealand),

3. Government agencies with headquarters in New Guinea and offices and customers serving the small islands in the Pacific.

Your consulting firm has given you the sample corporate network design (posted on Moodle as a "pattern" that you can use for this problem. Additional information will be provided through the Discussion Forum.

Basically, you need to pick one of the companies suggested above and help them. Your deliverable is 4-5-page written report like the "Proj2-sample-design" posted on Moodle (you may just modify this design pattern to fit your needs). The report should provide the following information:

- A quick business overview and vision for the selected company.

- What type of mobile apps should be used and what type of mobile computing platforms will be of value.

- A management and business plan needed for these initiatives including policies, procedures and management plans

- The networks that will be used to support these services. Each company wants to specifically explore the following wireless networks (use the attached sample as a guide):

- Wireless LANs

- Wireless Personal Area Networks

- Wireless sensor networks

- Cellular Phones

- WiMAX

- Satellites.
